CASE ZERO DAILY
Case 319

The Missing Painting

Hard

A framed artwork disappeared from a private hallway.

Rule: exactly one suspect is guilty. The guilty suspect lies. Every innocent suspect tells the truth.
Sam

“Logan is innocent.”

Blake

“Either Sam or Casey is guilty.”

Riley

“Sam and Casey are both innocent.”

Casey

“Neither Sam nor Riley is guilty.”

Logan

“Either Blake or Riley is guilty.”

Who is guilty?

Solution: Blake

If Blake is guilty, Blake's statement is false and every other statement is true. Testing the other suspects creates at least one contradiction.
