The Missing Painting

Hard

A framed artwork disappeared from a private hallway.

Rule: exactly one suspect is guilty. The guilty suspect lies. Every innocent suspect tells the truth.
Hayden

“Morgan is innocent.”

Morgan

“Hayden and Drew are both innocent.”

Drew

“Lane is guilty.”

Finley

“Morgan and Drew are both innocent.”

Lane

“Either Morgan or Drew is guilty.”

Who is guilty?

Solution: Lane

If Lane is guilty, Lane's statement is false and every other statement is true. Testing the other suspects creates at least one contradiction.
