Jack: “Neither Jack nor Tess is guilty.”
Tess: “The guilty person is either Amira or Hugo.”
Hugo: “The guilty person is either Amira or Tess.”
Mae: “Neither Amira nor Tess is guilty.”
Random case Solution: Hugo is guilty. Testing each possible culprit leaves this as the only assignment where the culprit's statement is false and all four innocent statements are true.
